About
Glen Canavan
I am a retired paramedic, having worked in Montreal, the Northwest Territories and Ontario. My Land Rover experience started when I was 22. In the summer of 1974, I bought a brand-new Series Ill from a British Leyland dealership in Montreal. Shortly after that my brother and I drove up the then unpaved Alaska Highway. That was a long bumpy ride in a short wheelbase vehicle. I did a complete rebuild of the truck 15 years ago, including a galvanized chassis.

Restoration
This is what the truck looked like when I bought it. It had been sitting in a garage for about 10 years. I opted for this one because there is a shortage of left-hand drive Defenders around here. I was able to successfully restore it and am about to strike out on my greatest restoration project ever.I invite you to follow me over the coming weeks and months as I document this process.
